This update makes the app faster, easier to share, and opens it up to all of Europe. Here's what's new.
The big changes
A world-first license plate masking
A brand-new plate masking engine, more reliable and extremely effective.
Aren't we the best carspotting app? We don't slap an ugly 2D blur on your photo (like some other carspotting apps might).

We respect your shots and your passion: our masking is as discreet as it gets, it doesn't ruin your photo and it protects everyone's privacy.

A new algorithm in the public feed recommends better posts, shot by the community.
Everything else
Guest mode
Your friends can now discover Wheeloh without an account: browse the public feed, open a post you shared with them, try the camera or play "Guess the car". As soon as they sign up, they pick up right where they left off.
Wheeloh speaks 6 languages
The app is now available in Spanish, German, Italian and Polish, in addition to French and English. Notifications and support follow your account language.
A much richer feed
- The public feed shows more great cars shot by this amazing community.
- When you come back, the feed resumes on the last photo you were looking at.
- Photos from an album now show up as posts of their own.
Like and share
- Likes get a new red heart, the same on double-tap and on the button.
- Double-tap also works on an album's mosaic.
- Share a post straight to your apps (WhatsApp, Instagram, Messages…).
- A Wheeloh link opens right in the app, and friends without an account can still see the post.
- A link to a comment opens that comment directly.
Camera and posting
- The photo is taken as soon as you tap, and burst mode captures more shots.
- Pinch to zoom is more reliable, and on iPhone you can switch between 0.5x and 1x.
The garage map
- The map opens in 2D by default and runs more smoothly.
- Spots close to each other are grouped into stacks.
- The heatmap is now tappable.
Meets
- Meets can now be recurring (every week, every month…).
- Meet publication requests are reviewed by the team before they go live.
Guess the car
If you get the year wrong, the app tells you whether it's higher or lower.
